Molly Schuyler creamed the competition in a hamburger-eating contest , where she ate almost six pounds of food in 90 seconds
Jughead, meet your match: Competitive eater Molly Schuyler, a 100-pound mother of four, blew away the competition to set a new world record for the most burgers eaten in 97 seconds.
She beat out 12 male competitors at the annual Hwy 55 World Hamburger Eating Competition in Raleigh, North Carolina, by stuffing herself with seven stacked burgers from Hwy 55, a side of fries and a 20-ounce drink in one minute and 37 seconds. That comes out to just over 5.7 pounds of food, and her fast feast won her the $2,500 grand prize, according to WWAY-TV. This year she beat her last world record; she had previously scarfed down the same amount of food in one minute and 53 seconds.
Schuyler is the No. 1 ranked independent competitive eater in the world, according to the sanctioning body All Pro Eating — ranking far and beyond her (mostly male) fellow competitive eaters. Major League Eating, on the other hand, ranks Joey Chestnut and Matt Stonie as the No. 1 and No. 2 competitive eaters in the world.
